We’ve built a community that celebrates diversity and embraces equity. This is why we’ve introduced a range of leading initiatives to support women at Liberty to thrive.
Liberty is proud to be a Work180 endorsed employer. Work180 is an employment platform that pre-screens employers to determine how well they support women’s careers. Work180 considers policies such as paid parental leave, pay equity, flexible working arrangements and employee engagement scores.
We work closely with the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA), as part of our commitment to achieving gender equality. This helps us to benchmark our progress and both monitor and improve opportunities for women at Liberty.
We believe great leadership lies at the heart of an amazing culture. We support and empower our leaders through initiatives such as our leadership working group program (monthly small support groups for leaders at all levels of the business), quarterly women in leadership (WIL) workshops and tailored learning and development programs. Between these workshops, smaller “café groups” of women leaders meet to support and empower one another. These are facilitated externally by a world-renowned transformative educator and clinical mindfulness consultant.
We’ve introduced a comprehensive policy designed to support women and their partners undergoing fertility treatments. The policy acknowledges the challenges that couples experiencing treatment may face and offers compassion, support and understanding.
We recognise each parent’s experience is unique. For some, raising children can require extended periods away from work. Our goal is to ensure this doesn’t impact career plans or hinder role advancement in any way.
We offer employees who are primary caregivers up to 52 weeks of leave, with the option to request an additional 52 weeks leave. During this time, they will receive 13 weeks of full-time pay and continue to accrue superannuation payments, annual leave, personal leave, long-service leave and our health and wellbeing subsidy.
